Oleoresin Capsicum (O.C.) spray is a highly effective weapon that when used correctly can provide an element of advantage for a law enforcement officer dealing with a hostile or irrational person, or a civilian to avoid becoming a victim. Made from hot cayenne peppers, OC spray has a debilitating effect and when sprayed into someone's eyes. It produces severe burning, creates temporary blindness, restricts breathing and causes disorientation.
